Conversions, customizations, and tuning are highly popular in the motorcycle community, with many riders aiming to add a personal touch to their bikes. One place that stands out in this regard is 2 Rad Wehrli in Belp, where conversions are carried out under the label "Wehrli Design". A wide range of Kawasaki models undergo conversions there, with meticulous attention to detail to achieve a unique aesthetic. The inspiration for these conversions stemmed from the owner's passion for superhero helmets from HJC. Reto, the owner of 2 Rad Wehrli, noticed a lack of bikes that matched the style of these helmets, leading him to take matters into his own hands and offer top-quality conversions that complement the helmet style.

Kawasaki sticker kit versus individual customization

Sticker kits are a popular way to visually enhance your Kawasaki motorcycle. However, at Wehrli Design, a unique approach is taken that goes beyond simply sticking pre-made stickers on the bike. Each pattern, color, and material is carefully tested and adapted to the bike, often undergoing multiple redesigns to achieve the perfect balance and aesthetic. The result is impressive, with the design seamlessly integrated to match the look of the Kawasaki, creating a coherent and harmonious overall picture. The bike doesn't just carry the design, but becomes one with it.

For the Marvel fans

While every optical conversion from Wehrli Design is undoubtedly fascinating, two models have proven to be particularly popular: the Spiderman and Venom conversions. The Spiderman conversion pays homage to the legendary superhero and impresses not only with a comprehensive sticker conversion of the tank, rear, mudguard, light mask, and rims, but also with a red-painted frame that remains true to the look of Spiderman's suit. The use of Dunlop Mutant tires with a matching "Spiderweb" look further reinforces the theme. The highlight of this conversion is undoubtedly the tailor-made seat, which gives the rider an authentic Spiderman feel and rounds off the overall look perfectly. The Venom conversion, inspired by the sinister alien from the film of the same name, also impresses with its unique features. Here, special attention was paid to the details in order to capture the dark flair of Venom. The rims were painted in a high-quality red to match the frame and the sticker colors. The Marvel lettering and the Venom pattern extend into the rear of the wheel arch, creating a coherent look. As a special highlight, atypical-looking studded tires were chosen to underline the aggressive look of the bike and round off the overall picture perfectly.

Minion and Star Wars conversions

The Kawasaki Z650 RS Minion conversion is a standout piece in the Wehrli Design lineup. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to capture the charm of the beloved cartoon character. The incorporation of the Minion eye into the headlight is particularly eye-catching, giving the motorcycle a unique personality. While the headlight sticker may not be street legal, Wehrli Design ensures that their conversions can be ridden legally on the road without any issues.

But that's not all: the seat of the Minion conversion is a true work of art. It not only mirrors the look and feel of the Minion's trousers, but also offers a practical feature. The trouser pocket on the seat has a small opening, perfect for easy access to cash for a quick drink during your motorcycle ride.

While most conversions are based on the Z900, Wehrli Design opted for a Kawasaki Ninja 650 for the R2D2 conversion, showcasing their ability to skillfully execute unique themes. The fusion of the Star Wars robot and a Ninja may be unexpected, but it is successful and demonstrates the team's versatility and creativity.

Special paint finishes in unusual color combinations

Nothing ventured, nothing gained! That's why Wehrli Design offers special paint finishes for Kawasaki motorcycles that truly stand out, in addition to the well-known Marvel, Star Wars, and other famous characters. The emerald paint finish chosen is particularly eye-catching, with a touch of dark mint creating a captivating effect that draws attention.

A truly unique example is the Z900 Aladin, which evokes the magical world of 1001 Nights with its contrast between dark gold painted rims and details, and bright violet-pink accents. Despite the creative diversity, Reto's motto remains the same: only finished bikes are offered for sale.

While these special conversions make the Wehrli Design showroom in Belp an extraordinary experience, customization remains a passion for Reto and his team that cannot be standardized based on customer requests. Each project is unique and is brought to life with the utmost dedication and attention to detail.

The latest addition to the Kawasaki heroes

A brand new W800, designed in the style of Boba Fett, was recently unveiled at the Motofestival in Bern. This unique conversion features an authentically scratched tank for a weathered look, as well as a tactile bullet hole design in the seat, giving the motorcycle an unmistakable and authentic appearance inspired by the Star Wars universe.

This latest creation from Wehrli Design showcases their commitment to creativity and attention to detail, pushing the boundaries of motorcycle customization. We look forward to seeing what other innovative and impressive conversions Wehrli Design has in store for the future.
